Aww *pets* The ending is...not for everyone, that is for certain. I've always kept Lost in Austen separate from Pride and Prejudice even though it features most of the same characters. My justification is this: Darcy was not aware of the book or the way things were resolved until quite late, and even then it was just people saying "you belong with this person"- let's face it, it's too little too late, he's gone and fallen for Amanda despite what the world thinks. *shrugs*
I am sorry that the ending didn't work for you though.
I think I will be able to get over the ending if I think to myself that the characters in the book were not the people Amanda actually spent time with. Because in present day London, it was as if Elizabeth read the real P&P without the changes that Amanda's presence was producing to the story.
That's a good point, it was almost as if they're the ones that book publishers worry about when they publish that bit about all characters being fictional and any similarities to real people are unintentional.

I also liked the scene where Darcy finds the book and says to Amanda, "You didn't even bother to change our names."
I really thought he was going to figure out the truth, but he didn't.

I liked the series and thought it was creative. The story went how I imagined it would go if someone really got trapped in the past.
