well spider-man 4 was cancelled. Raimi and Sony couldn't come to an agreement ( raimi wanted the vulture, sony wanted anybody BUT the vulture, and also wanted Black Cat in the movie for sexual tension. I hate to say it but quite frankly i agree with Sony, Vulture is such a weak villain, he can't support a movie as sole antagonist, and everybody ( Read more... )

Sorry Sam. Black Cat is great and Vulture is lame.

Well, let me go into more detail... Black Cat is lame if she's only around to have titties and wear tight clothes. She's great when she has a little depth of character, an interesting relationship and interplay with Pete, and isn't just around for the sole purpose of being hot.

Vulture, I've come to respect a lot more as of Spectacular Spidey. He isn't completely hopeless in that show. That being said, he CANNOT hold a plot by himself. He's a sub-villain, really, and he works best in that regard in my non-expert opinion.

Also, yes, Lizard >> Vulture. Still holding out for that Leatherhead, Lizard, Killer Croc, and... I guess Devil Dinosaur... Sauron? ...or just a T-Rex. Maybe a large raptor.

The fact is, the world is full of too many traditionalists. People insist things have to be like the "original," but no argument is made for why the original is supposed to be better or even more authoritative than what came after. I was a fan of the first two, and to be honest I liked most of the third one, although I had some things I didn't like about it (juggled too many villains, mainly).

I think this also goes to people who nitpick over every little thing that doesn't agree with the comics in a movie. If you want to see something that's exactly like the comic... read the comic.
