Daniel is in the entrance hall, gazing admiringly up at the tree with its glittering tinsel and electric lights. He addresses one of the wall communicators that he's more or less gotten used to by now.

He has a wonderful warm all-Victorian winter coat on. Pity he can't actually go outside in it. THERE'S SNOW HE FEELS SO LEFT

Has the custom of a fir tree at Christmas spread, then? In my time only a Royal would think of erecting wood in his home.
