[Feferi spends a lot of time at the beach so it's probably no surprise that she's there when he show. Actually she's in the sea, so when the pebbles skim overhead she's a little startled and surfaces]

[ Oh, didn't you know? Early Victorians just love it when demonic-looking people come jumping out of the water.

And by that we mean Daniel is appropriately startled, fumbles the stone he was about to throw and freezes. It's lucky he's already met a couple of trolls, really. ]

That last one nearly hit me, to say nothing of the poor cuttlefish. How would you like it if I came and threw stones at your hive?
