Basil Hallward
Basil Hallward was a good friend of Dorian Gray.
He painted the picture from the book's title,
inadvertently allowing Dorian to be
introduced to and corrupted by knowledge of
his own beauty. Many people believe that
Basil felt unrequited love for Dorian. When
Dorian finally admitted the depth of his
corruption to his friend, Basil tried to help
Dorian redeem himself - with disastrous
results.
Although you tend to brood, you're a fairly
stable person. You have an artistic streak
and you're probably more talented than you
give yourself credit for. You've also got a
strong set of morals and values. Problem is,
you might want to be more socially deviant,
at least in some ways, but you're afraid to
try - not because of what the world might
think, but because you're afraid that it
might corrupt you. Don't worry so much;
breaking loose and having fun once in a while
won't damn you to hell, and the strength of
your moral code almost guarantees that you'll
never let things go too far.
You're good person, but you need to lighten up.
You could also stand to improve your
self-esteem. And, oh yeah - try to avoid
falling for hot guys who age like vampires,
okay? It'll never work out.
Which character from The Picture of Dorian Gray are you? brought to you by
Quizilla ...vampire, Mordred?
