arg! so my partner finally alled me on wednesday. finally. She said she'd call me at 10:30 today for the second interview. She called at 10:15 and said she'd call at 5:30 to come over and meet me. well.... sighs its 2.5 hours later and i'm debating whether i even want to bother calling her... i'm sick of it ( Read more... )

Can you go talk to the professor about her? It's not really mean, I mean it's not fair that she's so unreliable. If this were a job she probably would have been fired by now!

Agreed. I actually told someone if i were her actual client i would have fired her. i think i'm going to try and talk to my professor before class.

Perhaps you should consider consulting with the teacher. I had to something like that for my group project for the Intro to Therapeutic Rec. We started off (on Tuesday) in a group of 4, but only myself and 1 other partner were there. Then, we had a 5th person added on Wednesday. Our 2 other missing partners showed up, but only long enough to find out that our project was about simulating what it would be like to be deaf-blind ( ... )

As you work with more groups, you will eventually learn not to take any of this too personally. There are some people who are reliable, productive workers; there are others who would be reliable and productive, but seem to live a life of drama, in which everything goes wrong at once; and then there are those who just always have an excuse, never a very good one, and don't seem to understand that your schedule is not something they can just instantly slot themselves into at their own will ( ... )
