i am on a quest to find new good music. this seems to be hard, seeming im living up here in the boondocks. lately my thing has been listening to string tributes, to pretty much every band i ever liked. it's nostalgic and relaxing, and i feel like i found something new...when i really i haven't. as of the past couple years, i'll always find some ( Read more... )

Pick up the album "No Silence" by: ATB (2004).

You will fall in love with it, the whole thing is absofuckinglutely amazing and brill.

yeah, i've actually been listening to alot of emocore lately...*hides in corner*. i really like poison the well and underoath alot. people always tell me to go back to "classic stuff" as well, and blah. i mean, who the fuck can't appreciate zepplin or cat stevens? but like, it just doesn't give you the same feeling as something you can really associate with, like something that really moved you, or reminds you of a particular time in your life. like beethoven. who the fuck cares? last year i got really into like british-indie, 80's new wave-ish stuff like echo and the bunnymen and joy division. all it did was make me wish i lived in the 80's.....saaadness

but anywho, i'll take your advice. it does all sound like a rompin good time.

well, i don't think you're old. sometimes i feel the same about my music. my brother tells me how awesome some of his music is and i just can't get into it. its like, i like my old music. maybe we are getting old, only you have a two year advantage on me when the really good music came out!
