I just wanted to let everyone know that I'm okay-it was a little scary there for a while, but Mr. Grift helped me out. Does anyone know when this might end? It will, right?

[Crossed out but still very readable] I was wondering...I suppose it's not possible now that Miss Bastet says that more of those things are showing up that are fast, but I don' ( Read more... )

pretty sure do not want, analyze that, definitely not a ninja, for science

There's no telling when it's going to be over, but I'm sure it will be.

It feels like it's been forever already. Are you doing all right?

Tell me about it.

I'm exhausted, between helping at the barricade and the Hatchery, but I'm fine otherwise.

I hope no one decides to be born soon. This would be an awful time for it.

Rosalind? You're in the Wilderness, aren't you?

I am now. Don't worry about me, Mr. Stoneface.

Oh. Good. You got me worried there for a second.

[A moment of thought, then an amendment--he knows the sorts of suicidal people who reside in Edensphere. (They would probably last half a day in Ankh Morpork. Suicide is a terrible thing.)]

Stay there.

It's that or Grift is still babysitting and that is terrifying blindedmewith December 9 2010, 05:34:59 UTC
[It's amazing how many ways there are to commit suicide if you're not careful.]

I will. What about you? Are you being careful? You're old enough that your brain has a lot of information inside it and they might think it's very tasty!

I would estimate at least until the end of this week, perhaps more. But we will hold until they are gone.

Are you killing lots of zombies, Miss Handmaiden?

I am, if that is the right word. And I am relieved to see that you have made it safely to the Wilderness.

It was a close call, but it turns out that even zombies don't like having bits of them melted off!

[also crossed out but still very visible.] No, we can't keep the zombie that followed you home, Roz. We already have a pet.

It wouldn't be a pet! It would be for science!

While the notion is a good one, I suspect that once the invasion runs its course, our enemies will vanish as surely as many things have in the past.

That's why I thought we could study it now! But I really don't want people to put themselves in danger, even for science.

No, you are absolutely correct. We must study them as well as we can. A life risked now is a life better protected down the road - and I understand that this has happened before.

That's what they said, but I've been here for a year and I don't remember it! Maybe they're like the ants, but they don't come around as often.

Do you think we really can study them? I don't want anyone to get hurt.
