Sounds a lot like Heraclitus. Physical world constantly in flux and that sort of thing.

giving in to either fate or chaos are in practice, nearly the same thing. both thought processes, 'it is all predestined' and 'there is no order, just go with the flow' have the same results- allowing circumstance to dictate your life script. just my personal opinion i think the balancing act between the two is simply exercising free will.

personally, with all this mess going on, this quote from i-don't-know-who-at-the-moment (if it was just me, i'm impressed.. but i doubt it) stood out in my mind.. said something along the lines of 'i may not be able to control everything that happens to me, but i can control how i react to it'.

i don't know if that made sense, but i'm working on a paper on chaos and quantum theory in the social sciences that you might find interesting when it's ready. (not yet, hence being unsure if the above description made any sense)

apologies for using wiki, but i'm sort of in a hurry. :D
In mathematics, chaos theory describes the behaviour of certain dynamical systems - that is, systems whose states evolve ( ... )
