You should read Oranges Are Not the Only Fruit by Jeanette Wintersen.

I'm also planning to read Wuthering Heights - I got really obsessed over this book by reading Eclipse by Stephenie Meyer...

Wuthering Heights is really good, just takes a few chapters to get into it. & the language is a bit hard and you really have to take your time reading it, if that makes any sense?

is Eclipse a good book?

Hummm... if the language is hard, I'll probably be better at it in french. I still have some trouble with harder books.

Eclipse is a good book, but you have to read Twilight and New Moon before ;)

As an add-on: Twilight is an amazing series, and I would recommend it, Alicia. It's weird because, when I was first told to read them I was thinking, "Ew. A vampire romance. I don't like vampire novels, and I don't like romance novels." But it changed me completely. After Twilight, I got really into the Marked series, which is another amazing read for a vampire fan.

Also, we've just read Wuthering Heights for English class. I like the plot, but honestly, I didn't even bother reading it. I enjoyed the spark-notes version. xD

I have a list of books to read too. May do one for movies as well & stick them on my LJ ^_^

My Best Friend's Girl by Dorothy Koomson is a definite recommendation <3

I just found this list so excuse my lateness. ;)

I have to agree with you about Sweeney Todd. I loved the music (I walk around singing A Little Priest to the boy that I babysit) but the film itself sucked. I've been a fan of Tim Burton for quite a while but this one really disappointed me.

And I am unbelievably jealous that you will be seeing Wicked! I've wanted to see it for two years and this year was looking up until I realized that I cannot afford $77 for a ticket. Ah, well. I trust you'll let us know how it goes. ;)

While we're talking about it, how many times have you seen that particular play?
