Lately I've realized more and more that I really only see the good in people until I'm forced to come face to face with their bad qualities.

This, I'm learning, causes me to feel more disappointed and dejected than the average bear.

Maybe I should start assuming everyone's a goddamn phony until proven otherwise.

I'm sorry. I know too well how you must be feeling... and I'm told I've become a very judgmental person because of this.

You have an amazing amount of patience, and you should never feel ashamed of that. While you may not be able to stop others from letting their negative qualities take over, you do seem to be pretty adept at pulling out the good. This quality makes you invaluable, as a person and as a friend.
