You want proof that my job, my environmentalism, and my raging desire for the Blue Book (the Yale book of course schedules) preoccupy my thoughts too much? My dream last night was that I was climbing the book shelves at work, seeking the Blue Book in the shoe boxes and grumbling that it was a waste of paper to keep Blue Books in shoe boxes, because ( Read more... )

my social incompetence, working/interning, edibles, yes i realize i'm a hippie, college obsessiveness

Haha. Connor said the same thing to me, actually. About me needing to get out more and drink and stuff. Actually, he called me a "square." Which apparently means that I don't drink or do drugs or anything like that. XD

You do need to eat more. Please. :(

We are just good girls! Aside from sneaking behind our parents' back to make out with other good girls. Square just means you're uptight. XD

Don't know you in RL, so I can't comment on whether you look underweight. But 1/2 a pound does seem pretty damn thin. Then again, some people are skinny cause that's how they are built. Again, don't know you.

I do know that people have a very annoying habit of not minding their own business when it comes to weight. I have a lot of food allergies, and one exposure can make me sick for 2-3 weeks and lead to massive weight loss. The comment every time? "You look fabulous darling!" Which is stupid because I look like I've had diarrhea for almost a month.

There's this sick thing in the U.S. where people encourage you to lose weight, but if you lose too much they freak out. And some people bend to the pressure to keep losing weight, and then people wonder where they got it into their heads that weight loss was necessary. Grrr.

Sorry. Whoa. That went rantish.

Sorry you're dealing with all this stress. Hugs.

I'm not built thin. I just haven't been eating enough, but it's not deliberate. It's just been automatic, and I didn't even notice until I was too thin.

Yeah, that's exactly how the US is like, and it's frustrating. I'm often getting compliments for being skinny, and the same people will tend to then tell me to eat more. My parents are a very good example.

Rants are always welcome on this journal! *hugs back*

Sophia, you only need to lose half a pound to be underweight...when you don't need to lose a WHOLE NUMBER of pounds then yeah...you're too thin. Do I need to worry about you too?! Goodness!!

If I ever get to see the both of you, I'm taking you both out for food.

Stick to worrying about her. I was a lost cause before I even knew her. I went out with friends today, though, so I ate.

1/2 pound is too close for comfort. Eat food. Please?

Also, since when are you 21?

I know it's not healthy, but I can't even put a bite of food in my mouth without freaking out about the cost of it. Clarks is really unreliable in terms of hours (this week I'm working four) and my internship doesn't pay, so...yeah. I really regret not applying two days sooner for the part-time I actually wanted (especially since it involves free food) or better yet trying a different possibility that I ended up turning down in favor of the internship, so now I'm stuck without enough money to eat properly. I know it's stupid, but...there it is.

I told them I was eighteen, and Nick's response was, "so?"
