When you ask this, do you mean from a religious perspective or from a societal perspective. I think you should date whoever you feel comfortable with. If you want a GF, that's ok if you wanted a BF it's ok too. I don't think sexual orientation is a choice nor do I think people have the right to judge.

That depends on who you ask. Some people think it is okay and some people think it is not. If you feel safe with it, do it. It is you who shall live with your choice. Do not ask me about dating, I have never done that.
