My mother is a muggle, as is everybody in the neighbourhood.

Much simpler. What one can do without magic is limiting, yes, but it's also nice to take a break from it every once in a while.

You're a better person than me, I often make a point of keeping distance from my mother if I can manage it.

I owe her a lot, and wouldn't dream of letting her be alone when she wants me to visit.

I think so. She did raise me on her own.

Only when there are muggles around, and even then of course I would in an emergency.

Most wizards and witches these days are halfblood, after all. It's not so strange.
