A little help here...

Has anybody ever had problems (that they know of...) with their Photobucket album privacy? I showed Photobucket to a friend yesterday and she's interested but worried about somebody getting in and DLing all her pix for whatever nefarious purpose...

I don't know. I use Image Shack.

Ever hear of anybody having trouble there? I forgot to tell her about all the other places.

No, but Image Shack is not set up the same way. It's just a hosting service.

No, I've never had a problem. But then I've only ever invited a very few on my flist to view my PhotoBucket album for a limited time, and then I changed the password later when that time was up. I suppose if someone could guess your password they could get in easily enough though.

Once again it comes down to if you want to keep a secret, don't tell in the first place.

That's what I figured. I tried to hack Jilly's account and couldn't. *blows kisses*

I have never had any problems either, but then I have never given the password out for my paid account. I have a separate unpaid account for anything I want to be available to anybody.

I've never tried to make anything private on photobucket, mostly cos what I upload there is for posting on the forum. I do also have Yahoo photo albums, and those are really easy to create as public/private/invite only etc. And you can't hotlink from them - at least I couldn't from my own album, which is why I got a photobucket account.
I think Seshat and Kliggins ideas are good too - have a couple of account and keep one completely private and the other public :D
