My other community pixelslikewhoa is super active and we have a photobucket with over 8000 pixels that I'm sure you could find what you're looking for in :D

I use Image Ready 7.0 and Animation Shop 3.0 when I make my blinkies. Occasionally I use Photoshop 7.0.

check out silent_sanity's tut's.
She has fabulous tutorials, and that's where I got started.
