Holyshit fuck Rogers.

What's your data limit? 36mb is hardly anything. Based on your preamble, it sounds like you did have a data plan? Why the heck would data charge ring in that high if you have a plan, and you were (presumably) under it.

You can probably get them to forgive the activation fee if you make a stink about it, especially because you made such a point about it on the phone.

Yes they said roaming charges. I know nothing of roaming charges and roaming charges were never mentioned to me at all in any conversation. I had no idea how they worked or obviously when I was in the states "adjusting" my plan to make sure I did not get nailed to the wall for incoming calls, I would have adjusted my plan to deal with roaming shit.

Oh and my adjustments made to not get nailed for incoming calls did absolutely nothing, I still had ALL of my minutes and the 15 used on incoming calls were at a nice $1.50 per minute.

ah...good point.

That would totally do it, and that is something that sneaks up on a lot of people.

You might want to call them up and see if they can reduce it.

Explain that the sales guy never told you any of this stuff. A good chance they'll say no, but it can't hurt to try.

a good chance they'll say yes actually. It's a small price to pay to keep a brand new customer. I have faith that J can make a big enough stink in their face to make them back down.

Firstly, good luck with your quest to beat Rogers. I wish you every success. It is a difficult beast to vanquish. This is a truth known far and wide in Canada.

I hate Rogers. Everyone I know hates Rogers.

I'm sorry you had to join the club, and I'm sorry to hear about your woes. That sucks and is very frustrating, I know.
