My sister left California today. The whole family packed up and moved to Cedar City, Utah. Months ago, when she first told me the news, a calloused part of me thought how I won't have to drive up to Sausalito anymore to babysit. Stormy Weather
Today the sky darkened like it was the end of the world. A loud and boisterous thunderstorm followed, with rain coming down so hard I can barely make out Toronto Island across the harbour.

In the middle of the night I could have sworn I heard the "woosh slap," "woosh slap" of the ocean. And maybe a little bit of drumming? This cannot be possible I say to myself. Fixed my laptop charger with electrical tape: it seems to work. This is my second fucking charger so I'd prefer not to buy another one. I love my mac, but can anyone explain why something as simple as a charger costs more than $60 ( Read more... ) -
Photo critique
I'm off to a critique for a photo workshop I'm participating in. It's filled with people who I've not worked with before. It will be interesting to see how they view my pieces without being influenced by any of my other work. Did that sound obnoxious? It's actually about being nervous rather than pretentious.
