HOLY SHIT!
I haven't posted much about DW, but it's the only show I'm excited to watch each week atm.
If Eve was Alpha, Donna is Omega. Wait... what? That's actually kind of excellent.
'The most important woman in all of creation'? I'd LOVE that to be true. I missed DT this ep, but still, I adore Donna, and enjoyed seeing how different she would be without the opportunities given her by the doctor. She just yells at the world and doesn't realise she has the potential to change it.
Not sure about Rose's return. She seems far too knowledgable. On the behind the scenes show DT said something about Torchwood in Rose's universe monitoring the timelines and being slightly ahead of Donna's alternate reality. That could explain it.... I guess. And maybe that will all come to light next week when the TW team (or whats left of it) show up.
I loved the alternate timeline, and the horrible vision of a world without the doctor. So many plot aspects from previous eps were used that I completely lost track of them. One or two for ep's I haven't seen. That was disappointing. It was great for people who have been hardcore fans since day one, but for someone who's Who knowledge is slightly potted.. I felt like I was missing out on potential squee.
Was completely underwhelmed when we finally saw the beastie on her back. God, the paranoia of carrying that thing around for so long, with random people staring, would have driven me insane. But actually seeing the thing? LAME. Proves in spades that what you can imagine is far scarier than anything they can show you.
A Donna-centric episode like this, before such an anticipated finale spells death to me though.
Does anyone know anything about whether DT will be coming back for another season. The friends I've discussed it with either consider the year's hiatus as a chance for him to do other projects and therefor be willing to continue as the doctor, or as a chance for the fans to cool down and forget how much they love him. No actual info on record yet?
