Sisterly stuff

My 15 year old, tom boy sister is currently trying on her prom dress (she's leaving highschool year). The first dress she's had on her back since her First Holy Communion when she was 8.

It's like someone flipped the girly switch for this party. Whereas most tomboys (who don't remain so) gradually become more feminine, this has been a quick shot of girlieness.

It's brought home to me just how much upkeep I have, how much I've shelled out on shoes and bags and makeup which are barely used and kept for certain occaisions, all on top of what I use and wear day to day.

You don't realise until you she someone amass that shit for the first time.
