Icon is relevant! \o/ Oh Dean, you crack me up!
Choices over circumstances. Ok, fair enough. I guess this episode was just about due.
It was great that we finally not only got to see a little more of what Sam was up to, but also gained some insight into his reasons. I think in his position I'd be behaving in the same way. Except for the 'OMG! STOP THIS CAR RIGHT THE FUCK NOW' bitch fit. The big girl's blouse.
Only... did that demon infer that Sam and Ruby have been getting up to a little more than bringing on the demon vomit? They have to stop dangling that one. It clearly didn't happen, couldn't have happened without making Sammy a rapist. And I doubt the writers are that dumb. Quit it already, none of us are buying it.
Overall I thought it was a pretty good ep. Needed right about now to explore Sam's reactions to his powers, how he got them and what they could mean for him should he choose to use them or not.
Several things throughout the episode made me gape;
-Dean calling Castiel 'Cas'. I had to watch that part twice as I was sure that fic had broken my brain the first time I heard it.
-Dean knowing the location of Sam's KY Jelly. See above reaction to 'Cas'.
-Overkill. Surely burning both mother and baby alive is not the best possible way to get rid of the unborn creature feature child. That dick got what was coming to him.
Another thing I loved about the episode was the gore. Not too much but enough to make me shriek just a little, and my sister running across the room to see what the hell kind of messed up show I was watching when she caught a glimpse.
I missed 'Cas' this week though. Still waiting for more evidence to back up my 'Lucifer in disguise' theory. It surprises me how badly I want this to be true.
