sorry about that. i know they aren't the most pleasant thing in the world, but i seriously feel like it's really really important for the truth to be out there.
seeing all of these pictures was horrific. especially so because i have a beagle. cruelty like this should not be allowed. i will do what i can to advocate against it. thanks
Is ther any way to get background information on those images? Like, WHEN are they from, WHERE are they from, what companies, and especialy, WHAT THE HELL KIND OF EXPERIMENTS where (are? currently?) they doing?
Thanks for all that. I knew some of it. . . but frankly, I confess, I've been avoiding the images, and not at all "blissfully." It's just that when an image gets in my mind, it's THERE FOREVER. The whole point of the "at our hands" website. I remember once flipping channels, and some pbs history thing was on, and there was a small rhesus monkey in a sterotaxic chair, and suddenly a metal hammer SLAMMED down into his skull and he convulsed. It was for brain damage testing. I leaped out of my chair and let out such a scream the neighbors came running. I cried for days

I definately know what you're talking about. An image, when impactful, is burned into my mind forever too.
To answer your question: Sometimes I do get so upset that I get irrational urges to do something. But here's what I figure. Everytime in my life when I have the chance to educate someone about animal testing, they tell me that I've made a change in their lives. Several times in my life, I've been able to change my friends knowledge on animal testing. Several times, I've also been given the chance to give presentations to classes about it. The teacher asked the students the next day to write comments about the presentation. My co-presenter and I didn't get ANY negative comments. That's where I draw my hope

I'm so happy that there are people out there who boycott those products. If only enough people cared and took action!
