Oh thank you for watching! I'm so glad you found it touching. I have to fight myself to get that kind of emotion across and not pull back, so I'm really grateful for your feedback.

Oh squee!!! Big, big squee! When I first saw your entry this morning I thought it was hallucination caused by hunger for your vids:)))

It's so wonderful to see a new vid from you and of course you being again online. And what a beautiful vid! Amazing tribute to BSG, excellent song choice (I love the moment when it becomes sung in canon, creating harmony from different voices), very moving.

heh. What a lovely thing to say! (((hugs))))

I also love that the song was sung in a round (canon, whatever).....It made vidding it an intriguing challenge. I only regret it was so short. I could have used at least two more choruses - so it was hard choosing which sequences to use. I had a lot left over. Maybe for another vid? I hope so. It was fun working on this.

Thank you for your comments, D. I'm so glad you enjoyed it, and found it moving. That was what I was going for. :-)

I woke up today hearing this song in my head over and over:) What I love about your vids is that even if they are sometimes difficult to embrace in the first viewing, they grow on me with time and there's something new and fresh even after many views. I'm still discovering without being tired of them - "Beautiful Letdown" and "Hide and Seek".

D - what a lovely thing for me to read this morning! The song does have a "stickiness" to it, I agree. It's startling and wonderful that you've actually watched my vids more than once. Thank you!!!!

I'm not sure why my vids are sometimes "difficult to embrace" at first - I know that the first 15 seconds of any video are the most difficult for me to create and that my tendency is to start off very slowly, as I know where I'm heading but don't want to use my best "stuff" right off the bat or I'll never get there. I secretly think that "Beautiful Letdown" never "got there" - so it's very gratifying to know that you can re-watch it and find new things in it. One day I'll get up the nerve to re-watch it myself. :-)

Beautifully done. Your overlays were wonderfully done, and the soft flow that you kept up, whether crossfading or doing hard cuts, was the perfect compliment to the emotion of the song and the subject. Having Hera holding up her drawing followed by the folding of the flag was one of the moments that really hit me, but most definitely not the only one. :}

Thank you again for your wonderful feedback. I'm so glad you took the time to watch this and then come here and let me know.

The clip of Hera with the drawing is the one scene that almost didn't make it to the final cut - mainly because it was the one image that really required the viewer to know what it was and I wanted to avoid being that BSG-specific. But in the end, I thought it worked too well to find a substitute. Thank you for noticing it!!!

Yay! Thank you for making the time and sorry for the trouble you had. I'll have to download the vid myself to see what the problem is. but i haven't changed the link since i posted (lol, at least I don't think I have!)

I'm so glad you were moved by it....that was my intent, but lots of times I believe I pull my emotional punches. But maybe I'm breaking through. :-)

This is....drop dead gorgeous

You weave vids like tapestry and it leaves me in awe...your overlays take my breath away. I hope to be caught up with BSG soon to understand this memoria better, but for now....I just sit and marvel with my jaw open, at the eb and flow of this...like the ocean tide coming in and out upon a beach, so gentle and natural, so magnifcent. Your song choice is inspired...I wish I could find music the way you do!

I'm so glad you broke through your vidders block, this amazing piece was waiting to come out and glisten. ♥

Oh my!!! I am so touched that you came here to comment! and what comments! *thud* and (((((hugs)))))) for letting me spoil you a little with BSG's beautiful images. But don't let anyone tell you what the child's drawing is......that knowledge must be earned by watching the series to the end....

This is a lovely song. I saw the vid when I closed my eyes and listened, how I could show the characters painful nostalgia, while at the same time allowing me to express my own sense of loss and remembrance. All the while mirroring the complexity of the audio with my own overlays. lol - it seemed clear what to do, but it took me soooooo long to finally do it!

Vidding seems to be the only gift I know how to give. But in keeping with the season, I finally figured out better render settings (why 35MB for an under 2 minute vid, i kept wondering) so if you want to re-download, you'll now get a mere 20MB file. More like it, right?

Thank you. Hope all is well, sweetie!!! xoxoxoxoxoxo
