Thank you for posting this! I first found this story a couple of years ago and I had it saved on my old hard drive. That one crashed and I lost all my data, so I'm really excited to have this story again. Once more, thanks!
You're quite welcome! It really IS a great story, isn't it? I've read it twice, and got choked up both times. Amazing how the writer was able to create such strong characters in so few words. Great writing.
I read your LJ post earlier this week, and that is one of the reasons I wanted to post this story. Hope is a wonderful thing, and happy endings are always possible. Please know that I think of you often and send good thoughts your way, and hopes that you and D have many, many more happy Christmases together.
Cat Thank you for posting this. Gah,it's so stirring it made me cry. This is being saved to memories. I'm going to pass this on to some friends. Thanks!
Glad you enjoyed it - I really liked the feel of the story, and the contrast between the reserved, somewhat formal Anthoni, and the youthful exuberance of Noel. It always astonishes me when writers can create such strong images with so few words. Plus, it made a nice Christmas story!
Have a great holiday - don't drink too much of that vodka! lol!
I recced this story to a bunch of my friends and - predictably - they loved it.
In the meantime, I'm up to "Pool School" in my Administration reread. I think I'm enjoying the reread even more than my first zoom through. "Knowing what I know now...."
Fansee, about to go see Mr. Harold tonight. Shall I give him your love?
