I was in Paris this weekend. The lights were pretty (and I can't believe I had to look up how to spell pretty!!). The Champs Elysees trees had really cool lights, and I looked at the front and thought that the red and yellow lights in front were another cool light display, only to realise that they were actually cars in front of us. In fact, can you recommend any cool places to visit beyond the normal tourist traps?

Alright, I've asked...there isn't much but apparently despite the fact the Champs Elysees is always crowded its a good place to go. And the bateaux-mouches are really nice (and wouldn't be that busy this time of year)

I can ask my relatives, but I know the Lourve is well worth it, dispite being a tourist Trap. There are lots of old Cathedrals around, not just Notre Dame and they all look pretty. I think just have a day or two and just wonder around...I'll find out where good wondering streets are. Unfortunately you'll probably miss the Christmas lights.
