"You will as soon as your troubles disappear," Gordon's charm was reaching critical mass at this rate, "Making people talk is one of my favorite tasks. Can we speak with Mayor Peterson? We'd like to make a proper interview with him. Once-ler Geisel speaking."

The aide, an intern, blinked and offered them a seat.

"Besides you helped his campaign last time, he should be grateful."

"Hoping for the best. Please...don't make the poor man talk."

Once watched and listened quietly as the intern attempted to summon the mayor. He privately hoped that his hypothesis was bunk and the mayor was just a normal guy.

"Oh please, I'm a total angel..." Gordon smirked at that. When Mayor Peterson let them in, it was becoming clear both were half-right. It wasn't the mayor who was the weird one, though the scent was so prevalent, one could get confused.

"What can I do for you, Mr. Geisel?" he greeted as cheerful as he could.

"Sir...may we have a private conversation. I'm fully aware we're under...surveillance."
