"What if she needs me?!"

That was his baby there. The teachers were giving him such exasperated looks, but, really requesting to see their college transcripts and diplomas wasn't that weird. Demanding to see them and trying to make photocopies and asking that Private Investigator to look into each employee of the preschool might've been a bit excessive, but, he wasn't ashamed.

"She's three now...Once, it's time to let her meet new friends," Gordon was not amused when he had to make those errands and explain to the colleges My boss just wants to check their credentials, and paying the PI over time for the extra work ("Boss having separation anxiety?" "Yep."). Though given those last three years have been filled with shenanigans of the dangerous kind didn't help either.

"You know one day, she's going to go to school, and then what? Are you going to get bodyguards for her?" he asked without thinking too much that his packbrother WOULD do that. "Don't you dare. You gotta let her scrape her knees and eat a mouthful of mud."

Needless to say, Fyodore had a hearty immune system even for a werewolf.

"She naps with bar-ba-loots, I'm not too worried about the germs. Bodyguards are perfectly reasonable, but, I won't really look into that until primary school."

Once was almost ready to leave when he saw a little boy with blond hair take a block from his daughter.

"DID YOU SEE THAT?!"

Yeah, sorry Gordon, you're going to have to physically drag him out. The staff will thank you later. (As will Helen.)

Gordon sprung to action the best way he could: by pulling Once-ler out by the collar and apologizing to the staff at the day care center. It took to dragging him out to the car for him to finally talk to his friend,

"Once, as much as you want to have Helen live in a perfect life and live in a perfect world, you...might want to take a step back and let her learn what sharing is from other people than the kids she already knows."

He offered a shrug, "It was just a block and that's okay, the boy will apologize and they both learn societal norms. In layman's terms," yes, he's doing this to accentuate his point, "Kids need to be kids."
