Yikes on the glass!! I'm glad you didn't cut yourself, though. (You didn't right? O_O)
I think I would feel really ... unsettled ... at getting that type of fortune, though. (I have gotten some strange ones in the past, but nothing that bad. LOLz)
Ugh on the whole YJ thing. I definitely have to use a deputy for everything, but it sounds like such a pain. Especially for someone like you, who is fluent in reading, writing, and speaking Japanese. Bummer. =(
So...I have to seriously question the whole 5000 yen thing. Because I've recently (as in two weeks ago) bought from a seller (using my 7 year old Y!J account) items worth more than $50.
Seriously, I don't know. I never changed my credit card on file, never canceled out my premium service, nothing. I've heard that if you were a premium member before the switch, you'd still be able to pay with a foreign credit card. But . . . last spring, I was a premium member for free for a while, and then it automatically canceled out. Is YJ still charging you the monthly fee?
Oh, and I still haven't received an answer to my question. Looks like they're just ignoring me. >.< Maybe I should try bidding more than 5,000 yen . . . the problem lies in finding something I want . . . and the lack of money. ^^;; I just bought a few things.

I've never gotten a bad fortune out of a fortune cookie. Do they even make them? 0.o
