I started training at my new place of work, which is a big cofee retailer I probably shouldn't be working at but which gives great benefits. Whatever you have to do to live. Your first job in your new home! It's perfectly okay that it's a sort of Catholic-school clone with undertones of exploitation. You're alive, well, making reasonable money, and you don't plan to make a career of it. Learn all you can and subvert the organization from within...and guzzle coffee. I hope you get a discount or freebies or something for working there. You know how to do this kind of thing, and it appears that you've landed safely on at least 3 feet. Rejoice.

I think you missed the human factor. People suck.

I'm so glad to hear that things are going pretty well. From all I'm hearing about our economy of late, seems like finding any work at all is a blessing. I look forward to joining you in the great city of SF. I'm quite excited about it really esp if you are so pleased with it so far. You'll have to show me some places and tell me some stories ;]
