My weight loss journey...

May 07, 2009 09:39

So I've reached my goal weight: 145lbs. For those of you who might have known me, that's 20lbs heavier than I was in high school. Big whoop. I was 175lbs last October, my heaviest weight ever.

More after the cut... )

OK, cutting carbs... like all of them? Most of them?

Rob's has high bp so we have been on a low sodium diet for a few months now. I've dropped probably at least 10-20lbs (I don't know what my weight was before because we didn't own a scale at the time). I'll be honest lately we've been slacking but I'm going to be cracking it back in gear let me assure you except if I have to eat another effing chicken breast I swear to God I am going to scream! Which brings me to my next question when you take out carbs, which I shouldn't be eating much of anyway because of a medical condition, do you just eat a lot of fruits and veggies? How do you not get sick of the proteins, like chicken? Hit a girl up I'm excited to pick your brain, if you hadn't noticed!

Not all of them...I stayed around 50-60 grams a day, which is ok. Since I'm not exercising, my protein should be around the same amount (50-60 grams a day). The best thing I can tell you is to pick up a copy of Protein Power by Drs. Michael and Mary Dan Eades. It walks you through what's good, what's bad, how to properly count, etc. There is a LOT of information in that book. :) It's the one my doctor recommended ( ... )
