I think I prefer the simple humor as well. But that's probably because it wasn't set up with a jab at me. Yes I'm hating work, no I'm not drooling when I sleep (only happens occassionally when I'm sick and can't breath through my nose - I bet you do it too!).
For the record, I have TWO sisters. So my sister refers to one of two individuals. It's true that my younger sister receives outside payment from an employer for her administrative services, and my older sister receives no outside payment for her domestic services (hehe, "domestic services" sounds a little naughty). But I wouldn't say that only my younger sister works.
So I contend that my example doesn't point to a specific sister as a sleeping drooler. Though I agree that it does require that at least one of them is. And I'll never say which I think the drooler is. ;-)
That's all very interesting. I had no idea that so many different scientific communities entertained this concept. I have heard some fields cover aspects of this concept, like the chaos theory and parallel dimensional theories, but I hadn't heard this specific take on these ideas. Very nice. Also, in your sister's defense, she definitely doesn't drool, though she does often dislike her work.
If the time of your post was actually 11:01 a.m. my time, I was definitely not the sleeping sister. However, I do admit I have, on occasion, drooled when I have been asleep.
Of course, at 11:01 a.m. today, I wasn't working either. I was checking my email and watching TV. Therefore, you couldn't have been talking about me at all.
