You and I, under the starry sky.
Oh yay, done with NBRGWH! Initially I thought this lakorn had the potential to join the ‘Love It!’ ranks in my lakorn list but the plot never delved deeper into the many interpersonal relationships and the ending fell a little flat with an unnecessary misunderstanding to keep the pra’nang apart. Not the mention the cheesy reconciliation party where Prap was auctioned off to Napdao. The lakorn keeps everything low-key so though the last few episodes were a tad drawn out, it wasn’t annoying but at the same time it didn’t manage to scratch where it really itches. I didn’t care for Job and Fah’s storyline and wish the lakorn had not included them and concentrated more on Prap/Napdao/Noinah. But since it was part of the story, the discovery of Noinah’s real parents is something that ought to have big emotional impact on both Noinah and Prap, as well as Job and Fah who meet again after many years. Yet it was all over so quickly and easily that it felt contrived.
That said, I still do love Napdao and all our pra’nang moments. I watched 2/3 of the lakorn without subs so I missed out on many details in their conversations which help develop their relationship but even so, I feel a contented happiness when they are together, bickering, helping each other, or just chilling at the little hut in the middle of nowhere.
This hut has got to be my favourite location in the lakorn. Parp goes there to take photos of the night sky while Napdao takes time out there when she needs to think and it’s their little world where all is calm. NBRGWH is definitely something I will re-watch in parts whenever I need a pick-me-up drama!
