It made me so upset to see you crying today.
I didn't know what to say to you.
I didn't know how to make you feel better.

I'm so sorry you lost a good friend.
We all loved her, we did.
She was a wonderful person, and I will never forget her.

She's happier now.
Remember that.

Thank you for thinking of my daughter rjrothen June 15 2005, 15:33:42 UTC
I wanted to thank you for your kind words and loving thoughts. Katie Mannion was my daughter. I am her father, Dick Rothen, and I am greiving so deeply for the loss of my daughter. You have mentioned the song that may help me understand what has happened. I am confused and not sure of what it all means. If you could correspond with me, it would help me deeply in understanding and dealing with the loss of my beloved daughter. I will understand if you are reluctanct. But I again offer my heart felt thanks for your beautiful words around by precicous child. Thank you sincerely - Dick Rothen.

sorry i didn't write you back sooner. my life has been anything but empty for the last few months especially more the last few weeks. tomorrow is my graduation and i don't know how much i will be on livejournal in the coming weeks. i would like to talk to you and offer any information that i can, but i also must make you aware that i have promised things to your daughter, Katie and i intend to keep my promises to her. the only way right now for me to stay in contact with you would be through e-mail, my e-mail is sidewalkthoughts@yahoo.com. you may write me anytime you would like and i will be sure to respond at the best of my ability. for now i will leave you with one bit. What do you think of Ryan (Katie's on-again, off-again boyfriend)?

sincerely,
heather brooks gardner
