Well, a big white beard, definitely. White robes as well, possibly also little wings if you're feeling adventurous.

I've decided I'm going just to keep people quiet, but I have no idea what to wear...

Hmm. That's the common conception of God, certainly, but think of it this way - if you were God, you could wear anything you want. Anything!

And yet the only thing I can think of a really nice suit, which is a bit boring if you've got a choice of well, everything. Perhaps there's some charm that would make you change costumes every half-hour, but it might be too difficult to work at such a short notice.

Maybe you could go as an angel. Or Wonder Woman. Do you know what Justin's going as?

The thing is, though, if you were to change your costume every half hour, are people going to know that it's because you're God and can do anything you like? It might just look like a) you're showing off your charm skills, b) your charm went wrong, or c) you couldn't decide what to go as and decided to go as "everything".

I have no idea what Justin's going as - something from one of his books or comics, I imagine. The only boy whose costume I know of is Theodore Nott's - Susan told me he's going as Frodo.

Well, c) looks likely. Or, going in the oppposition direction, I could just go as myself and wear a tag labelled 'God'. I imagine God doesn't need to impress anyone, after all.

Hmm.

Possibly quite difficult to go as God, as some would see him as being incorporeal. Cause hey can't be corporeal if you're omnipresent.

Other than I don't know how God would dress.

The ball looks boring anyway...

Well, perhaps. But I'm talking about God only in the sense of someone who can do whatever they want - so if they don't want to be incorporeal, boo to everyone who wants them that way.

Psht. You only say that because you're not attending.

Gee really?

Besides what would the point be in me attending, seeing as it's all for students and the people my age are bloody working.

That mermaid thing does sound fun, actually. Is that really what muggles think merfolk are like?

I think God looks a bit like my daddy powerful but gentle. So maybe some strong manly prop like a sword, with something softer like a flower. And robes should be dazzling white. Just because. Light and all that.

I am not sticking a flower in my hair.

Not in your hair! In your buttonhole or something, or wrapped round the sword.

This is difficult. Maybe I should go as a specific God - like Thor.

I bet you have ulterior motives for saying that.
