Yet another kid falls victim to gun crime.   Sadly there seems to be one of these stories every week at the moment.

What I have noticed though, is that the kids who get knifed or shot are always innocent, well behaved, popular, kind, decent, helpful, hardworking model students.  It is quite extraordinary.

Maybe they are the cases that get the most press? It's not going to make good headlines in the Daily Fascist if it's a drug dealer getting shot in a turf dispute. From what I see of gun crimes here, the vast majority involve gang on gang violence over turf. It's pretty rare that the victim is a model citizen. If that does happen (and especially if victim is white) it makes the headlines for weeks.
