yeah ok so it's been a while ...but you know ...I's been busy! & I wasn't sure if I wanted to keep this thing or not. But seems I just can't kick it ...well not fully anyway ... ( BIG UPDATE now with pics! )
Thanks hun! it's good to be back :) May be a while before I get the house to myself but yeah I'm lookin forward to it. I'm a bit happy with the photos too ...just wish I'd taken more at the time cos the light was so amazing! I never know what I'm doing on Friday till Friday, but I did have fun at Rev's last time I went so I may see you there! Fabrics & homewares are my biz ...especially natural fibres, calico, linen, handwoven Indian cottons ...so yeah if you're after something of the like lemme know & I'm sure we can give you a bit of a discount for you ;)
At the moment, I'm specifically after some light-weight silk, as lining material. That really thin stuff (not see through) - washed silk? Preferably in black.
Later, linens and cottons and calico, oh my! But not now. Too tempting. Must finish one thing at a time.
Thanks hun ...tis good to get some good feedback! for ages I thought I'd lost my knack with the ol camera but I think it's more about making the most of what's around you at the time & finding the right moment to shoot.
Yeah the old gal is doing very fucken well for her age - people always think she's heaps younger than she is, course I credit myself for keeping her on her toes - her fault for having us so late! I just hope I'm blessed with her aging genes ...& not that darn father of mine who at 8 years her junior is already struggling with Alzheimer's ...but methinks that may have more to do with the alcohol than anything else! Speaking of the old bugger he's finally buggered back off to Brisbane so I reckon coffee is def on the cards when you're free
That's a lot of news, Tarls... wowowowow... I agree, everyone should get off the internet and buy stuff from a mum and dad store, like yours and mine... mind you, the market is probably much more in favor of what you guys have to offer than antiques, which have just completely nose dived.
Let me know when you get your camera and what it's like, I'm in the market myself... the old analog is great, but totally impractical!
oh, and you guys scare me with your Huskie racing club meetups and the like, how bizzare! :P
I can't imagine how an antique business could survive these days - especially with ebay on the scene :/
I'm looking at getting an Olympus, after considering the Nikon & the Canon, but I've got to have a play with it first to make sure it feels right but I'm pretty sold on this one.
Hahah ...I scare ME with huskie club meetups & the like! but it's all in the name of fun ...& thats my favourite name! :D
