I would disagree with elements, since you have over a hundred students. You're limited to 118 unless you want to invent elements not even predicted and give them "Ununoctium" names. I guess you could pull out a chart of nuclides.
There might be enough nations on the planet to use them. That can get you up to 196 (more or less, depending on how you handle disputed territories).
