With only three months until the wedding, Barbara's OCD was in overdrive. She had already picked out the venue, the date (May 14) and had most of the guest list covered. Now she was obsessing on the details, including her dress, Helena's dress, and Dinah's dress

"I think I'm supposed to say something about you not wanting to show up the bride."

Dinah snorted, her hands on her hips. "Ahh, flattery, my favorite. As always." She bounced on her toes, then did a martial arts kick toward the three-way mirror. "If anything happens during the ceremony or reception, I'll be able to fight."

"Range of movement is super important," Priestly agreed. "The skirt looks full enough to do that gird-your-loins thing I saw on Tumblr."

Dinah's expression brightened further. "I've always wanted to do that! Maybe if I get a big enough bouquet I can sneak a capoeira stick in to the wedding too." She sighed and added, "Although Barbara's being obsessive enough she'll probably hide weapons in the decorations if we let her." She stopped to twirl back and forth, trying to decide if she liked the dress length. "Shorter? Longer? Same? And what are you going to wear?"

Somebody was getting a phone call. A phone call from a Jonothon. Why? Because a certain Jono was desperate and needed an assist.

... It was really only an emergency by Jono standards, mind. And even then, probably wasn't actually a disaster.

"Hi! You calling in your vote in person?" Dinah sent Jono the second photo, and grinned before she put the phone to her ear again. "How goes life in crazytown?"

"Is this an island thing, or a Valentine's Day overload thing?" Dinah asked, shimmying out of the dress. "Also, hey. I can have dignity!"

Karla had been going slowly crazy in Glacia. Six months pregnant was not a good look on a Queen impatient to use Craft again. It extra wasn't a good look on a Queen who was about to smother someone with the damn pillow they tried to cosset her with.

So rather than answering Dinah's text like a normal human, she answered it like an obscenely wealthy Queen with no fucks left to give. She handed Kayla to her father, threatened to stick a knife up Morton's ass if he even breathed the word 'guards' at her, and ordered a Portalocity ticket.

And so, SURPRISE DINAH! There was grumpy looking blonde waddling her way through the garment store. Either she was pregnant or she was doing a terrible job attempting to steal a wedding gown by shoving it under her shirt. "Mother Night, I'm so glad Barbara's not getting married till October. Well, your May. Whatever. I'll be over this and capable of wearing clothes again, rather than whatever the latest they have in 'fashionable circus tents.'" She made her way to a seat and flung herself onto it. "

"Of course I'll come to you! 'Cause you're here! Why are you here?" Dinah swooped in to hug her, wearing the rather questionable dress-with-skirt-veil-of-mystery. "Because I'm thrilled to see you but you look very very grumpy."

"I am here because I am so much less likely to commit mass murder here, than back home with my idiot Court," Karla said genially, clutching Dinah tight. "Also, darling, Barbara wears the veil, not your kneecaps. That dress is ridiculous."

"Awww, are they getting out of control again? Do I need to go bust some heads?" Dinah hugged her and grinned. "I know it is, I just had to try it on to see what it would look like, because really? Priestly called the last one a mullet dress 'cause of the high-low thing."

Shhhh. Momoko was SUPPOSED to be asleep, but she had found her phone (sorry, Jaime. You really should have known she'd look there) and was scrolling through texts while trying to eat a bit more of the soup Jaime had left by her bed.
