it's do-able. difficult, but do-able. i am finding that time management and prioritization are absolutely necessary. i didn't work last semester but pretty much financially i had no choice but to work going forward. i am working 2 days a week at the hospital. i'm too tired to study after 12 hour shifts, so i have to make sure to study during the week. my one off day (school tues-fri, work sat/sun or sun/mon) i have to run errands and clean and try to study too. some people in my class work full time AND have kids. they have my full respect, i really don't know how they do it!
you should go for it. i can tell you are not happy with what you are doing now and that you really wanted to do nursing. i am also in a 2 year program versus a 4 yr program so i can get a job as an RN sooner and then work on my BSN/MSN.
