Is it bad that I'm looking forward more to an installment in a fanfiction than I was the last Harry Potter book?

And to just point out something amazing, jenszabo's fic Detained is 285 pages long. Can we all just say "Damn!" in a moment of stunned appreciation.

Novel-length fics are certainly impressive. Apparently my former roommate has written 1000+ page fics, though I have never read them. I struggle to produce 500 words on a good day.

I had no idea the story was that long, I was just too engrossed with how wonderful it was. Now it makes sense for the long periods between updates, each chapter is like 30 pages long! For fanfic, that's impressive.
