Parental Visit
My parents were in town visiting last week, from Wednesday to Sunday. We wore them out! On Wednesday I took mom to the pool at MIT before we head out to the afternoon Sox vs. Mariners game. Our Last Day on the Mountain (Part 4)
Our last day, we of the easy hike group took the easy way out: climbing up to the summit again and then taking the shuttle bus down to Pinkham Notch. On Tuesday, we woke up at 6:30 to the sound of singing. That's apparently the traditional wake up call in the huts. Some folks in the cabin are in a rush to leave, so they hustle to get ready for breakfast. Those of us with less ambitious days ahead of us roll out of bed just in time to get a good seat. Lisa, Dana, and I made it to Pinkham Notch around 8:30. While we were scoping about the visitor center, we asked the help desk person about our trek, which she then informed us would be much longer and harder than Jim had told us! Well, I am still recovering from my trip to the mountains last weekend. Friday night we drove down to Farmington to visit with Ross's parents. His aunt Adria is in town visiting, it was great to get to see her. We had dinner at a Japanese place, and I really enjoyed that. Wow, I forgot to mention all the really important stuff from this weekend... I went on a hike in the Blue Hills, one of the tougher ones. Dum Dum Lollipops
