I just found out that our "new" pastor (okay, he's been there for like 18 months, and I've gone to all of 4 services) is refusing to confirm Jayna because she's a girl scout. from what you told me the other night, that place sounded strange...but not allowing girl scouts?! seriously?! wtf!

the thing that disturbs me the most, is that this is the first time I've ever heard of this. I was confirmed there and the old pastor knew that Sharla and I and our moms were girl scouts, and there was no problem with this.

I think this new guy is going too far with his "power"

Thats ridiculous!

My family is going through something similar, our priest is going through some sort of power trip, and suddenly fired our choir director (who everyone loved) for no reason, so now we're trying to find a new church.

that's too bad, I hate when people go on power trips just to show off :(

I've started going to Dave's church with him, and I actually really really enjoy it. For once I feel good when I come out of church, instead of wanting to strangle people like at my other church.
