Well, that was an unremarkable Christmas and an even more boring New Year. I usually spend Christmas day with my sister and her family, but of course that was called off this year, so spent the day alone. It just felt like any other day of the past few months. And I almost forgot it was New Year's eve - the fireworks going off was a big clue

Your sister and her husband recovered well from the covid then? Are you all under strict lockdown now? Things aren't quite that bad in NY yet, but things are expected to get worse in the next few weeks so we're still being really careful and hoping they manage to speed up the vaccine distribution...
