The sun smiled over the grassy green hills of Sarasaland, literally smiling, spreading it's rays of love and warmth over the landscape. Unfortunately, that love and warmth didn't seem to reach inside to the reigning princess.

Daisy looked into her vanity mirror, idly twirling a lock of auburn hair around her gloved finger. Twelve thirty, that's what he said. They had to go to lunch at twelve thirty because Mario needed his help for something in the afternoon. He never said what, it was always 'Mario needs-a my help,' 'the Princess was kidnapped again.'

Peach was always 'the princess' it was something Daisy had learned to live with. She'd grown up in her cousin's shadow, and it didn't really bother her. Well, most of the time she was fine with it. At least she wasn't being kidnapped all the time. Bowser wasn't the best conversationalist, though his kidnappings were fairly mild.

Daisy pulled some hair back from her face, and looked at her reflection, before dropping her hands, and letting the hair fall back around her face.

This always happened. She was tired of waiting around like every other princess in a tower. She wasn't even waiting for a prince, though she loved Luigi more then she could love any prince.

"Princess, would you like something to eat?" Daisy turned to face the toadstool that had entered her room. As hard as she tried, she couldn't keep the names straight.

Daisy sighed, registering that she had been asked a question.

"I suppose." She gave up, gathered her skirts, and made her way to the dining room.

Everything seemed to be in an uproar, toadstools racing every which way, and it took all Daisy's grace not to bump into any of them.

They seemed to quiet as she approached the doors of the dining room, until she grabbed the handle, and all was still.

Daisy tugged the door open, apprehensively. Was this some elaborate scheme to take over her kingdom? If so it was the best she'd encountered. Usually she'd have been tipped off by now.

The room was totally empty and Daisy sighed in relief. Perhaps a bit too soon, because as soon as she stepped inside, a pair of unmistakeable gloved hands slipped over her eyes.

"Luigi?" She asked, annoyed. Daisy did not have the patience to deal with this kind of surprise anymore.

"Helloa princess." Daisy couldn't help but smile, all of a sudden, making her wait two hours for lunch didn't seem so bad.
