Daily Story
Writers write about the people they know. The truly blessed writers have many interesting friends to keep track of. People who can take the forms of characters that are perfectly interesting and wonderful. Those people have it better. Writing's a hard game, and some people are just dealt a better hand then others. That's how it is in all professions, you know.
Then there are the poor saps who know hardly anyone, and they simply sit there and create characters in their heads. It's not quite as fantastic, but it's a way to make a living, and someone has to do it.
I've always been amazed by writers, I suppose. Because they can take something as simple as life, and turn it into something you actually do want to experience again.
