I believed in god in my childhood, but now i am less certain about where i stand, and what i believe.
I agree 100 percent with that statement. I was watching a movie, and two women are talking about faith and God and religion. One of the women discribes faith like this: Faith is like a glass of water. When you're young, the glass is full, and it's easy to fill up. But the older you get, the bigger the glass gets, and the same amount of water doesn't fill the glass anymore. Periodically, the glass has to be refilled. And I think that has a lot of truth to it. Right now, we're just trying to sift through everything and figure out what we want ourselves to be like, the "who am I and what do I stand for?" sort of thing, and at times it can be overwhelming. I don't know.. but in a few days we'll be fixating on something else completely different and will have completely forgotten about this deep conversation. Mm, so it goes.
