Carin, I looked over my books and I apologize for the C. Part of my reasoning was that you never seemed very inspired to draw. It seemed like the drawing was work that you didn't want to do. I often grade on how much a student aspires to be better at drawing. I did not communicate this to you or the rest of the class so it really isn't fair to grade you or anyone else on this criteria. I have not yet entered my grades. When I do I will enter your grade as a B. Have a good holiday. Derrick
he was right...i wasn't inspired, i didn't want to draw, and it wasn't fair. But, i've got a B, so i'm alright.

Well, cool. I'm glad he was willing to be flexible. "I did not communicate this to you or the rest of the class so it really isn't fair to grade you or anyone else on this criteria." He's a nice guy and all, but he didn't communicate much of anything to the class (except for that one lecture on perspective), so it'd be hard for him to grade us on any criteria. You know that I told this to Burt, his office-mate and my 2D Design teacher; I wonder if Burt told Derrick...

I was really hoping that we'd get to do evaluations on him b/c i was really going to lay into him. it was all i could do to bite my tongue and not tell derrick off after his little comment you quoted. It's sad when the class learned more from teh substitute in a day than we did the entire semester with the real teacher.

Very very true about learning more from Travis than we did Derrick. And congrats for you to sticking it to the man and getting the higher grade that you deserved!! I wish we could have done evaluations on him, but since he isn't coming back, they probably did not bother. I'll see you Tuesday for some Political Science action, wah0000...
