1) Was 2005 a good year for you?
yes and no. personal tragedy and matters beyond my control took its toll on my sanity, but i feel i made huge steps towards a better future for myself in the process.

2) What was your favorite moment of the year?
the moments i realized i didn't have any more exams to study for were always joyous occasions for me.

3) What was your least favorite moment of the year?
probably any one of those times my older brother was hospitalized

4) Where were you when 2005 began?
East Lansing, MI. at a party with someone i had just met the day before, surrounded by strangers.

5) Who were you with?
let's see if i can remember: Andrew, Peter, Jenny, Kim, Doug...yeah, i'm done

6) Where will you be when 2005 ends?
well, i was in the Abbot Center parking lot, in Andrew's car.

7) Who will you be with when 2005 ends?
i was with Andrew

8) Did you keep your new years resolution of 2005?
my resolution was to make Michigan my home and to do well in school. i like Michigan, and school is hard :).

9) Do you have a new years resolution for 2006?
sticking to doing well in school, i'm also adding thinking before i react to the list.

10) Did you fall in love in 2005?
yup

he tries to tell me he loves me more

i guess :)

why regret something that makes me so happy

15) Did you break up with anyone in 2005?
not so much break up as decide one situation was much better and more desired than another. also, Anna and i didn't last long. i have a better roommate relationship with Peter and Jordan.

16) Did you make any new friends in 2005?
of course.

17) Who are your favorite new friends?
Andrew, Dexter, Esperanza, Peter, Jenny, Katie, Rich, Lindsay, Erik, Brad, etc.

18) What was your favorite month of 2005?
probably one of the months where there was no snow on the ground. although February was kind of nice.

19) Did you travel outside of the US in 2005?
you would think being so close i would venture to Canada at least once, but no.

21) Did you lose anybody close to you in 2005?
two acquaintances to violence.

22) Did you miss anybody in the past year?
Georgia on my mind.

23) What was your favorite movie that you saw in 2005?
Million Dollar Baby, Sin City, King Kong, Star Wars, it's hard to say. also, i finally saw Shawshank Redemtion in 2005

24) What was your favorite song from 2005?
i know this is from 2004, but i really didn't give U2's How to Dismantle an Atomic Bomb a listen until 2005.

25) Did you drink a lot of alcohol in 2005?
i cut down my alcohol consumption to one drink per social event, which were few and far between. i consider this a huge personal victory and am very proud of myself.

26) Did you do a lot of drugs in 2005?
three occasions come to mind, but not a lot.

27) How many people did you sleep with in 2005?
one

28) Did you do anything you are ashamed of this year?
nope.

29) What was the worst lie someone told you in 2005?
ignorance is bliss. i know i've been lied to, but eventually it doesn't really matter in the long run.

not intentionally

two immediately come to mind.

32) How much money did you spend in 2005?
let's just say that at the beginning of the year i had enough saved to buy another car in Mordecai died and a fund set up to buy a modest house one day. that account has a zero balance now thanks to school.

33) What was your proudest moment of 2005?
moving away from Georgia and making a life completely on my own

34) What was your most embarrassing moment of 2005?
maybe that time i fainted and fell down the stairs during class...or how about that time i vomited during a lecture

35) If you could go back in time to any moment of 2005 and change it what would it be?
if i could, i would stay away from your mom

36) What are your plans for 2006?
school, school, and more school. if for some reason i get burned out, i just might use my degree to find a job.
