These people's approaching you now is a "typical" sign that you're nearing your 3rd. :)

Many 2nds (in other trads) are required to take on students and teach as a 2nd. I've never liked that idea. Feels like a ponzi scheme, LOL. I like the idea of them coming to you--that shows your own shininess.

As a 2nd in my circle, you can in fact facilitate her Initiation. I almost did as a 2nd but I was in the midst of a divorce and needed more time and space for myself then. So "when" depends on where she is in her path and how it feels to you about going ahead or not.

I guess I'm just a little nervous about Big Witch responsibilities. I think I'm ready, though.

Then go for it :) You've got all the basics. Contrary to some opinions, you don't have to be an expert at astrology, tarot, stones, runes, mythology, etc to be a Big Witch. People can learn about all those things on their own--and should take the initiative to work on what they want to--but the real deal is the understanding that you already have. The stuff that comes from practice, experimentation, and connection, not from book learning.
