I thought, oh God, my chance has come at last

 I just watched a very British film with Shannon.

Called "Ladies in Lavender," the film was full to the brim of sad people with sad stories which the viewer, naturally, never hears (it was, after all, very British), but I related quite easily to one of the main characters, an old woman hopelessly in love with the inevitable pretty foreign boy,
